The Game Is Massive

We're excited because it's clear that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is a massive game. One site's even called it a mix of The Witcher 3 and GTA 5

Earlier this month, Gamespot’s Peter Brown spent a ton of time with the game and he says that Kojima's next Metal Gear world is vast and cries out for exploration. Brown estimates that Afghanistan, one of the game's settings, is the size of 50 Camp Omegas. Camp Omega is the setting for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. He notes that if you were to travel by foot across the length of the Afghanistan level, you would likely need 45 minutes of real time.

Kojima himself has claimed that the game is about 200 times larger than Omega Base in Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes. Given what we saw at E3 2015, we think he's probably telling the truth. That's got us pretty excited for September.
