Android 5.1.1 Hitting Galaxy Tablets

Galaxy smartphones aren't the only ones feeling the Android 5.1.1 love from Samsung.

Samsung recently started rolling out the Android 5.1.1 update to the Wi-Fi version of the Galaxy Tab 8.0 in South Korea. This update is important for two reasons.

First, it means that other Galaxy tablets could get the bump to Android 5.1.1. At the very least, we'd expect more Galaxy Tab 8.0 variants to get the new software. And second, the device has been moved directly to Android 5.1.1 from KitKat.

So, if your device is still lingering on KitKat and you haven't seen a Lollipop update roll out just yet, there's a chance that Samsung will push Android 5.1.1 instead of an older piece of firmware. It doesn't guarantee it though.

10 pages of crap and speculation. The title of the article says it will tell you about the update, not theories on when or if you will get it.
