If you're just finding out about the iOS 9.1 beta update, note that if you install the software today, you'll be getting most of what the iOS 9.1 update has to offer. 

The iOS 9.1 update is the first milestone update for the iOS 9 operating system and as such, it comes with some enticing features. Among them, new emojis, including a middle finger emoji. 

Remember, your friends that aren't on iOS 9.1 won't be able to see the new emojis until they upgrade. Also remember that apps on the App Store offering iOS 9.1 emojis early are a waste of your time. 

If you live in the UK or Australia, you'll get the News application that arrived with some iOS 9 upgrades in September. There is also a brand new Messages option inside the Settings app that will allow iOS 9.1 users to disable photos for contacts.

The update is also expected to bring some enhancements to the iPad Pro but you can't use those because the iPad Pro isn't out yet.
