10 Things to Know About the iPhone 6 Plus iOS 8.4.1 Update
You Can Test iOS 8.4.1 and Go Back
For a week or so after a new iPhone upgrade Apple continues to sign an older version of the software. This means that you can upgrade, try out iOS 8.4.1 and if something essential is broken you can downgrade to iOS 8.4. This is not hard to do, but it is also not as easy as plugging your iPhone 6 Plus into iTunes and clicking downgrade. Use these directions to go back to iOS 8.4 on your iPhone 6 Plus. Apple often closes this loophole within weeks and with iOS 8.4 the company closed the loophole faster than normal so this option may not last very long. After Apple stops signing the older version of iOS there is no going back.
