Reasons to Skip the iOS 9 Beta

There are also some good reasons to avoid the public iOS 9 beta. In fact, most of you are probably going to be better off sticking around on iOS 8 or below.

We put together an extensive list of reasons why you might want to skip the iOS 9 beta right when the first developer beta came out. These reasons still apply. We'll touch on a few of them here but you'll certainly want to weigh all of the pros and cons before coming to a decision.

If you only own one device, you probably want to skip the public iOS 9 beta. This is beta software and it will have problems and the last thing you want is for the update to wreck havoc on your only phone or tablet. It's far too risky.

You'll also want to skip the iOS 9 beta if you rely on applications for school work or your job. iOS betas can break apps and hurt performance. Developers will be working hard to patch up these problems but you might not get these fixes until the public iOS 9 release later this year.

iOS 9 public beta might have some bugs so don’t try it out on your main device. But if you want to, install it from IPSW files.
