Hands-on Labs at Mobile Connections is very busy
I’ve been watching the hands-on labs at Mobile Connections with much interest the last couple of days, and the developers are getting excited about Vista and Tablet PC.
Here are some general comments that I and others have been hearing
1) I want a tablet, but my boss won’t let me buy one
2) I gave up on Tablet a couple of years ago, but working with it on Vista and developing around Windows Presentation Foundation is making me change my mind
3) The ease of getting started with ink-enabling existing applications is much easier than I thought.
Educating developers is going to be a key to seeing existing applications ink-enabled. Around the hands-on labs, the machines getting the most interest are the ultra-mobiles like the Q1 and the eo i7110. People have also shown alot of interest in the new Fujitsu P1610 with its much improved palm-rejection technology.
