A happy ending for a one-time disgruntled Motion Computing customer

We all tend to beat up on OEMs when they mess things up and discussion forums like ours are fodder for that kind of activity.

So, when I saw GBM forum member rpullon start a topic on not being happy with Tablet PC OEM Motion Computing, I thought it would be interesting to see how this thing turned out. True to form, Motion stepped up, acknowledged, and fixed the situation.

Take a read through and compare the rpullon’s first statment:

Anyone looking at Motion be warned! I own my own computer company and have been in computers for over 12 years. I have never seen such problems as this and I when I do most manufactures have agreed to cross ship a new unit, Motion tech support just insists it has to be sent back in and they will get it right this time.

to this one – just 3 days after posting the above:

… I received my new one today….YIPPPPEEEEE. Back in Business and going again………. Brand New Slate right out of the box…..

Motion Computing has went the distance to make sure I was happy, just took getting the info to the higher ups which could actually authorize the exchange…. Matter of fact so happy, I just sent them a new customer and now we have another slate user in the world.
