Colin Walker has shifted our attention to an interesting Microsoft Research Project that looks to hold some promise for touch interaction in the future. And of course it is intriguing that Microsoft’s Shift is being compared to Apple’s multi-touch. Go figure. The essence of Shift is to gain accuracy with touch especially when trying to interact with small areas or objects on the screen. In this example, a pop-up appears which lets you target the correct point.
