Things have just become a little heated in the wireless router department!  D-link has just dropped it’s prices on their entry level N router to only $50 US dollars!!  I don’t have an N card, so my G router from LinkSys is going to be just fine for a little while longer.  Now, if that 50 bucks gave me a Gigabit wired hub with it I might consider…

D-Link has lowered unit prices of its entry-level 802.11n routers sold in North America to below US$50, aiming to drive shipments of its 802.11n products up to its goal of two million units set for this year, according to sources from the Taiwan network-equipment industry.

The cuts brought the prices of D-Link’s entry-level 802.11n routers down to more than 35% below those offered by its rivals, including Linksys (a division of Cisco Systems) and Netgear, noted the industry sources.
