Windows 7 on the Asus Eee PC

Like we said, it wouldn’t take long before we saw more. Laptop Mag installed the pre-beta of Windows 7 on the Asus Eee PC 1000H. Aside from some video playback issues they seemed pleased at the result. Check out what Joanna has to say here. And remember folks, this is pre-beta land.

    1. I was surprised that the memory usage was reporting like it was in the Task Manager. It said 485Mb in use, and 222 free, but Vista always used all memory. On a machine at my office, with 4Gb, it shows 28Mb free with nothing much running.

It almost seems like they went back to the XP memory management model.
