Eye-Fi Celebrates 1 Year Anniversary with More Storage

Published

on

anniv_reflect One of the best purchases I made last year was an Eye-Fi card, which I bought when they first came out. The Eye-Fi allows you to snap pictures and upload them via Wi-Fi to your computer via your network or a number of partner sites like Flickr, SmugMug, etc Eye-Fi has since gone through a number of upgrades and enhancements to their offerings, and today they are celebrating their one year anniversary. As a part of the celebration they are releasing The Eye-Fi Anniversary Edition, a 4GB capacity card for $129 (or if you’re a Costco member $99). This will make a lot of folks happy. (Including me.)

What’s the point of a ton of memory in these things? The whole point is the offload the images via wifi as soon as possible.

Joe: Capacity demands depend on the size and quality of the photos, whether you also record video, how long you’ll be away from home, and sheer volume of photos. If you’re rocking a 10MP camera and also recording video, 4GB will come in handy.
