I am a HUman computer interaction person and I do usability studies all the time. Being a student has never allowed me to buy a license and I keep installing reinstalling the trial version of it. Sometimes I have to use other PCs to instal when mine doesnt work.

It is an amazing piece of software and helps me pretty much all through my semester. Doing prototype studies, screen grabs for usability analysis and later clipping the videos to produce presentation videos.

I would definitely use it to produce software instructions videos for the users at our company. It seems like a great software, I have heard only good things about it.

I am working as a Oracle Consultant. My clients always want to see how to use the software. Camtasia is a great tool to facilitate user learning. It is also great I can edit my recording add sound etc. There is no limit for your creativity with this product. It is lifesaver for me.
There are other products in the market. I tried couple of them. Camtasia is far way from its competitors. It is more consistent, no blue screen, great screen quality. I always used it, I will use it

I own a small business and wanted to produce a Powerpoint presentation with narration that could be posted to my website. After creating the Powerpoint and recording the narration, I found out that unlike Apple’s Keynote, Powerpoint does not offer the ability to save your file to flash or an MP4 file. After realizing this, almost buying a Mac, then doing some research, I found Camtasia. I downloaded the trial software and it worked great. I plan on buying the software, but winning it would be better. With its screen recording capabilities, I will produce educational and how to videos.

    Thanks for the contest.

I have been using a program that only exports as flash. I then have to convert it over for editing. Having the ability to add past mov files and exporting to mov would be save a lot of time.

I’m a software consultant and I would use Camtasia Studio for several purposes. I would use it in testing and debugging, so that if someone needs to see exactly what I did, they can see it. With the callout feature I could highlight and explain choices and options along the way. I have found this to be so much easier visually than trying to explain it with words, even when screen shots are involved. Also, because some of my co-workers are off-site, I can send them screen recordings also.

It makes for remembering what others show you very easy also. I can simply let them show me something once on my laptop and then if I forget it all or my notes are incomplete I can simply play it back to remember it. I am lucky enough to have Snag-it and use it everyday. I am sure that if I had Camtasia Studio I’d use it a lot and would be able to assist others by letting them see exactly what I am doing even if they are not there physically with me. Being able to use it and show it's usefulness will hopefully convince the enterprise to consider purchasing it for everyone.

I'm a hobbyist software developer, although I'm currently working on a maybe consumer product.
With Camtasia Studio- the user experience can be a lot better. I can record screencasts of tutorials- and show the user their way around the program.
Another usage of Camtasia Studio can also be editing my videos, from home, parties and trips. That way I can produce very nice videos.
    Thanks a lot!

I am a person of multiple personalities: I am a father, a husband, a teacher, a basketball coach, and I am a pastor. As well, I lead weekly training sessions with my colleagues on how they can integrate the myriads of free technologies into the classroom as we all minister to our students.

I can see great benefit in using Camstasia to record my training sessions and post them to my blog so that the teachers could later try out and practice the tools that I taught them.

It would be awesome to work plays on my tablet, recording them and showing them later to my basketball players so they can better visualize their game.

It would be fantastic if I could work through grammar lessons on my tablet, recording them, and then posting them to my blog so that absent students would not fall behind.

It would be great. It would be awesome. It would be fantastic. If only it were on my tablet.
