Add another 1GB of RAM and swap that hard drive out for something a bit zippier than a 4200RPM drive, and you got yourself a great little tablet for $1000… not a bad deal at all!

I got myself one, with a bigger hard drive (120gb), plus hsdpa modem and I’m very pleased with it. However check out Rob’s review – the issues (screen rotation after suspend and reboot) that rob had with vista are still there. Sometimes with a strange black border on the right (about 1/3 of the screen) – looks like portrait mode on landscape screen with the bottom cut off. Besides that vista is a imperfect OS, the hardware is very nice and the battery life is good.
