Mitsubishi Demos 3D Touch Screen

Published

on

mitsubishi 3D screen3D is becoming a buzz word these days as we’re seeing it crop up more and more. Recently Mitsubishi demoed a 3D capacitive touch screen that they plan on introducing in some future devices. What’s really intriguing about this is that it can detect a finger moving towards the screen. You know,   like hover on an active digitizer.   That would have some very interesting potential.

This is only in prototype mode, but I’d love to see this advance.

I always asked myself why they haven’t added this earlier, shouldn’t be that difficult with capacitive technology. But well, finally someone did this, which is a great step forwards.
