Rumor: Verizon and HP Readying Subsidized Netbooks

3-17-09vzw1000sm I’m surprised we haven’t heard more about this already, but then, hey, sometimes things move slower than the speed of light in the great Netbook race. Engadget is reporting a rumor that Verizon and HP are prepping a subsidized plan for Netbooks that will launch in the second quarter. No specifics as this qualifies as a rumor, but like I said, I’m wondering why we aren’t seeing more of this sort of subsidy rolling out.
