Slingbox iPhone Application Coming Soon…I can’t wait

Slingbox showed us its iPhone application at CES 2009, but it hasn’t been released on iTunes quite yet. They hoped it would be live by the end of Q1, but it’s anyone’s guess as to when Apple will approve it. Things seem to be progressing in the right direction though, with Slingbox publishing a new page on its site showing a sneak peak of the Slingbox iPhone app.

I recorded a live demo of the SlingBox app at CES 2009 and I can’t wait for it to come out. The application maps cable and satellite receivers’ remotes to the iPhone, which means users have complete access to DVR and video on demand functionality.

  1. Can’t wait too !
This is a killer app for the iPhone.

  2. This has been out for windows mobile for years now.

Just another in a long line of apps that get a fresh skin for the iPhone and suddenly become “killer”.

  3. Don’t hate! Iphones are 30,000+ apps strong. No other phone comes close.
