Dell Now Offers High(er) Res Screen for Mini 10 Netbook

dell-mini-10-frontFor those, like me, who find the screen real estate on Netbooks to be a little skimpy, this might come as good news. For $35 Dell will let you up the resolution from 1025 x 576 to 1366 x 766. which is more than enough for those looking to run 720p HD video. Intriguingly the $35 for the screen resolution change is $5 less than if you opt for a different color case. Go figure.

Is this Dell with a ten-inch not-quite-HD display going to come with magnifier goggles so you can actually see what is on the screen? This resolution demands at least a 15 or 16 inch (diagonal) screen size to be usable.

It is nice to see higher resolution small screens. I really enjoy small high resolution screens. I really hope more companies add high resolution screens to smaller notebooks for those that enjoy the extra screen space from the higher resolution. 12.1 inch high resolution screen like my X61T I think is better though then a 10 inch high resolution screen.
