Dell just announced its new high res screen for the Mini 10 Netbook. HP, who had announced a 1366 x 768 screen was coming for the HP 2140 awhile back, has just announced that the high definition version will start shipping as of tomorrow, April 1.

Well, I can’t find any way to order or configure a model with this screen on HP’s website. April Fools joke?

Still nada on HP’s website. And the original Crunchgear article has this comment:

Hi all, I just got off the horn with HP and they will be launching it on the 6th. The rep I spoke with said it will be available either through the phone or the website. However she said initially to get it you will have to order a custom build as of today no preconfigured systems are available.

So how about an update to this blog post (or a new blog post) to let your readers know that things didn’t really happen as announced?

It looks like you CAN now order off the HP site–shipping date is listed as April 18th. Can anyone confirm? Has anyone actually successfully ordered/received the high def version?
