Virgin America CEO Loves His ThinkPad

Published

on

I sat across the aisle from David Cush on Virgin America’s inaugural flight from SFO to SNA yesterday. He was using a ThinkPad x60 and had a lot of good things to say about it. Naturally, I took the opportunity to shoot a GBM Shortcut.

Cush likes ThinkPads’ keyboards so much that he refuses to use any other brand.   He has an extended battery and has used his ThinkPad for up to seven hours on a single charge.

Many of Virgin America’s planes have GoGo WiFi on board, which you can access for $9.95 to $12.95 per flight for notebooks and $7.95 for handsets. Their entire fleet will be outfited with WiFi by the end of May.

GBM Shortcuts are sponsored by Lenovo.

Xavier I hope you got some extra sponsoring dollars from Lenovo for that XD

But yeah, just re-affirms my faith in Virgin America and in the Thinkpad brand. Nice little video, thanks :)

great stuff, xavier! I’ve always been a HUGE fan of Thinkpad keyboards. I have yet to find anything that comes close

Can’t watch the video right now, I’ll try to later.
I agree with the thinkpad keyboard sentiment! They’re expensive but worth it, best of all brands I’ve used.

Plus, even though some claim they’re ugly (don’t know how you could think that) I think they’re some of the best looking laptops out there!

hmm. I like my X60t keyboard. But I wonder – would there have been this blog post and video sponsored by Lenovo if the Virgin CEO had praised his Dell?

Yup, we regularly praise products by all sorts of PC vendors in our videos. We also criticize products and companies whether they sponsor GBM or not.

Swift thinking Xavier, I mean grabing the interview, Good job. The Gottabemobile staff are lucky to have you onboard. Same here Rob – Thinkpad Keyboards are hard to beat in my book as well.
