70,000 HP Laptop Batteries Recalled Due To Fire Hazard

Published

on

In the seemingly never-ending battery fire fiasco, HP has just announced another battery recall. In November, HP issued a recall of over 100,000 batteries due to similar concerns of leakage and possible fire hazards. The affected models this time include the HP Pavilion, Compaq Presario, HP G6000 and G7000 series, and Compaq 6720s. If you bought any of these computers or their respective batteries between August 2007 and March 2008, you’re part of this recall. Check out the US Consumer Product Safety Commission website for more details. If you are in possession of a suspect battery, you can also go to HP’s website to validate your battery.
