Electricpig Goes Hands on with the Asus T91

eee-pc-t91-10 It just got released in Britain and it didn’t take long for Electricpig to go hands on with the Asus Eee PC T91 Convertible Tablet PC. This hot on the heels of FCC approval here in the states. There are a  slew of pictures and some interesting comments in the post, such as the Asus Magic Desktop software “isn’t quite finished yet” and “the screen is responsive but difficult to control with your finger.” So, here’s hoping Electricpig and others across the pond give us some follow up on that.

And here’s a plea from an old Inker, will someone give us a look at how the T91 handles Inking? Please.

    1. Looks like a nice piece of hardware, but as long as the usability isn’t that good, people will wait until they buy.
But Asus is making progress, hope they keep it up.

    2. The basic fact is that although tablet PCs have been around for a while there isn’t an operating system currently available that will make best use of touch screen functionality. Windows 7 purportedly remedies this, which should drive competetion and innovation from aletrnate OSes.

As an aside, while the T91 looks nice, it’s bigger brother, the T101 is going to have a larger 10 inch screen which will be more in keeping with the current slew of non-touchscreen netbooks.
