Previewing Microsoft Bing – Screenshots

Published

on

Just moments ago I received an exclusive invitation to preview Microsoft’s new search engine, Bing. I’ve got video processing right now, but wanted to pass along these initial screen shots.

After using Bing for about 30 minutes, I have to say I’m pretty impressed. It offers some great choices to filter pictures and video by size, resolution, color / black & white, and more. Simply doing a rollover on a video begins playing the video which is also really cool. The rollover preview on a link offers a lot more text than the normal meta tag description, too, which is quite helpful when deciding what page is relevant to visit. I also like how all the relevant information to your search is on the left side bar: related searches, filters, etc. No word on when the public will gain access to the new search engine. Meanwhile, I’m going to be giving a good test drive and see if it provides better information to help me along my search path.

Here are some screenshots to whet your appetite until my video finishes processing.

With something like this …. lets see if MS can get some of Googles market. But this Bing seems fantastic!
