Continuing the trend of netbooks with touchscreens is this model from Daewoo sporting an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of memory, Intel 945 Express chipset, 60GB hard drive (1.8″, 4200rpm), 1.3MP webcam, and a 8.9″ touchscreen with 1024×600 resolution. The Solo C920-mini is not quite a Tablet PC though as it’s running the netbook standard XP Home, so no inking and other tablet functionality. Still, it’s a sturdy looking convertible with carrying handle, so it should be a pretty portable and mobile machine.

P.S. “Koona t’chuta” or “Daewoo LUCOMS”, it’s all Huttese to me.

@SAM: Different manufacturer, but basically the same since they are both based on Intel’s Convertible Classmate reference design. I should have caught that. Thanks.

One would hope the Daewoo PC is better than the Daewoo cars.

I bought a 2Go for my grandson a few months back. It is actually a very nice unit. The screen on my grandson’s seems a bit rough. I ask the 2Go folks and they said to clean the screen with 50% Windex and 50% distilled water using a soft dampened cloth. That did not remove the seeming imperfections in the screen surface. The mini bumps make drawing and handwriting both difficult. Other than a space bar that requires a heavy hand I really like surfing with the little beast. Fingers work well and graphic speed is good.
