Last Chance to Win a Mobile Internet Device

Posted by | 07/27/2009 | 4 Comments

midstories_logoEarlier this month we launched MIDStories.com and to celebrate we’re giving away some mobile gear. To enter to win a MID and other great prizes all you have to do is visit the giveaway page and tell us what you’d use a MID for and which one you’d choose. I’ve been using a Viliv S5 for the past couple of months and I’ve been using it for several things I didn’t expect to, such as writing a lot of my blog entries with my voice. The giveaway submission deadline is Friday, so please enter soon if you want a chance to pick your own prize. Details can be found on MIDStories.com/giveaway.

Blake, I’m using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 on the Viliv S5. You can find a demo of it here:

Wow, I didn’t think it had enough juice to run it. I have run it on laptops before and found it to run very sluggishly. But I will try it out when I get my X70. Which is hopefully soon. I ordered it the first minute of the pre release, but I here the shipment is delayed

So some functionality is limited on the S5 w/DNS 10, but what u see is what you get in terms of dictation. I believe some of the MS Office commands are turned off by default when DNS detects a low-powered system.
