Dell’s First Rugged Tablet Unearthed
A FCC filing from Novatel gave up the goods on Dell’s first entry into ruggedized Tablet PCs, the XT2 XFR. From the pictures on Wireless Goodness it looks like some interesting changes afoot. In addition to a thicker case, bumpers, etc… that rugged users expect, it looks like there is a trackpad on the bezel so it can be used when the device is in slate mode. Of course it would be nice if Dell owned up to some of the driver and digitizer issues that non-rugged XT users are still experiencing before they start rolling out new rugged models.
