Kindle for PC Demo on a Tablet

Microsoft’s posted a demo video of Kindle for PC running on an HP Pavilion tx2 convertible. As expected, you can use touch to turn pages, zoom and sort through your books. I’ll definitely be downloading this application when it’s released next month.

This was a great, short review. Although I have always read PDFs and other formats for ebooks on my tablet PCs, I have not given consideration to buying a Kindle. But this software can provide what I think I want. The convenience and power of the tablet with the vast amount of literature in the Kindle format.

I have hoped Amazon would introduce a Windows app. This will be great for people that aren’t interested in buying amother gadget. This is the logical next step from their iPhone app. Amazon will need to pull out the stops to maintain their lead over Barnes & Nobles.

Does anyone know if the Kindle for PC will allow you to create annotations, not just view ones created on the Kindle?

    Thanks.
