robhostageOh, no! They got Rob!

Well, actually they didn’t get Rob, he, like other Dell Latitude XT users are having their Windows 7 drivers for the Latitude held hostage by Dell. We’re now into Day 5 and counting.

I hope they at least give him some bread and water.

This series is a good idea. That said, remember how your site and jkontherun reviewed the Celio Redfly? Based on those reviews I bought one – a Redfly C8. It is now Day 20 (and counting) of their lack of support for WM6.5 since phones running that OS were publically released. And if you check out https://tinyurl.com/yj48pzp, you’ll see the Celio execs throwing real doubt on whether they’ll ever support it on the C8, and confirming that they’ll only support Blackberry on their current line of devices (the C8N and C7). I upgraded my phone to WM6.5 and now my Redfly is a $150 brick. Many others are in the same boat – despite having been promised by Celio’s marketting materials

These companies convince you guys to help promote their products, and then turn around and deliver far less support than implied/promised. You are right to hold them to account, but I fear you wouldn’t have time/space left for regular coverage!

I just want to say thanks for this job being done for all Latitude XT users. Thanks guys. Hope Dell is going to release all XT users, not only those who are aiming to new Shangrila of Windows 7, but also those, who just want to return to their motherlands (Vista and XP).

    Please, release.
