Amazon Kindle TV Commercial

Amazon’s released a holiday TV commercial promoting the Kindle. This promo sure is a lot different than the videos of baby boomers Amazon was pushing when it first announced the Kindle.

It’ll be very interesting to see which (if any) eReaders mainstream consumers buy this holiday season. The Nook is exciting a lot of geeks, but I haven’t heard a single non-geek mention the device name. Everyone outside of the tech world that I’ve heard mention it calls it “Barnes & Noble’s Kindle.”

    1. Agreed. I think B&N needs a bigger awareness campaign than what they are doing. You are hit in the face with Kindle everywhere you go, especially on their site. The excitement has really settled down since they made the Nook announcement. I’m sure it will be “re-Kindled” when they release it at the end of Nov. At least I hope so. A superior product isn’t the only thing needed for the Nook to be on top. They need great advertising too.

Yes, I’m holding out for the Nook. And yes…I am a geek.
