Don’t care about the web apps. I care about OneNote 2010. Period. Do we get an InkShow?

Just like you could upgrade notebooks from 2007 to 2010 Technical Preview and then upgrade notebooks from 2010 Technical Preview to 2010 Beta, you should be able to upgrade the notebooks for the final 2010 version.

The Onenote web app doesn’t exist at the moment and isn’t built into the beta.
Likelihood is therefore than any notes you create in 2010 beta will not work with the Web app when it comes.

@Ben: According to what I’m reading the Web Apps only work on an enterprise level at the moment. I may be wrong and I haven’t had a chance to catch up on the info yet.

@Scoobie: Mobilenoter works fine with 2010. At least it did with the Technical preview.

You can either convert a 2007 OneNote Notebook to 2010, or you can just leave it as is.

Apparently Excel and Powerpoint’s Web Apps are working, Word and Onenote aren’t yet.

How are we meant to migrate existing notebooks over to onenote 2010? I have custom tags in my notebooks for instance that I really don’t want to remove

The recommendation is to deinstall your existing onenote before installing the new one I notice.

i hope MS makes the office mobile apps available on android and iphone (and i guess pre and symbian). they should (must?) do this because:

“All the apps that count will be ported to every one of them. It’s a completely different situation from the PC market, where software’s built to run on a Windows or a Mac. Mobile apps require very little development, so it’s much easier to bring them onto every platform.”

so if MS doesn’t port their office mobile apps, then i guess office is one of those no-count apps.

I can’t get enough of this free beta software stuff. I just fell for the Opera Mobile 10 Beta browser for my Samsung i8910 HD smartphone now this super Office suite will install nicely on my HP Touchsmart tx2 and probably my Fuji U810 also. What more could one ask for?

Hmm, it’s my understanding that in the Office 2010 beta, Consumer Web Apps should be working (that was supposed to be one of the new big things going from the Technical Preview to the Beta). You’ll even see http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/office-web-apps/overview.aspx gives you instructions on how to do it, and the menu options are there in the 3 apps they mention- Word, Excel, Powerpoint (nothing in OneNote yet). However, I’ve tried it a couple times, and it’s always failed, so maybe you’re right.
