Microsoft Decides to Unveil Family Guy Windows 7 Clips

As a part of the roll out of Windows 7, Microsoft had prepared some ads/clips/video featuring The Family Guy. There was going to be a special episode of the show that would tout Windows 7. That approach got abandoned, but now Microsoft has put some of the clips up on its YouTube channel. Is it me, or does Stewie resemble Steve Ballmer just a bit too closely?

    1. *sigh* These aren’t clips from some mythical Windows Family Guy special. No such special was ever produced.

These are clips of past Family Guy episodes, with a bit of dubbing to make it look like they’re discussing Windows 7 instead of the original topic.

The live special had intros and outros by the Stewie character talking about Ninja Assassin and Sherlock Holmes; presumably these were originally about Windows 7.

Err, that’s what Warner said. “That approach got abandoned”. These are clips Microsoft prepared, again, just as Warner stated.
