LG GW990 Smartphone Has Enourmous Touchscreen

Intel’s been showing off a concept dummy device for over a year that looked pretty cool, but didn’t even turn on. That concept device is now a real product that will be available sometime in the 2nd half of this year. The capacitive touch device is about as wide as an iPhone or Droid, but it’s quite a bit longer to accommodate a 1280×480 display. This be the highest resolution smartphone on the market.

In landscape mode, the LG GW990 can display up to three live applications at a time. You can place a phone call, while looking at your calendar and watching a movie. This should be hit with multi-taskers.
