Win a SCOTTEVEST Soft Shell Jacket!

The Notebooks.com and GottaBeMobile team are using SCOTTEVEST clothing to carry all of our gear in Las Vegas during the Consumer Electronics Show. We’ve teamed up with SCOTTEVEST to give away Scott’s latest creation- the SeV Soft Shell Jacket. This SeV is great for colder climates, but is thin enough to allow you to move around. Our own Warner Crocker just received one from his wife for Christmas.
The SeV Soft Shell Jacket has three layers of breathable fabric that can stand up to water and wind. It has 19 pockets for all of your gadgets, including one that lets you see and touch your touch-enabled devices.
This giveaway is open to anyone in the world as long as it’s legal for you to participate in your locale. To enter, simply answer the following questions in the comments below.
What would you put in your SeV Soft Shell Jacket and how/where specifically would you use it? The more detailed your response the better! We’ll pick a winner from the combined entries on Notebooks.com and GottaBeMobile.com
We’ll notify the winner by email on Tuesday.

I’m in Wisconsin which means I need a jacket for about 2/3 of the year. This thing would be perfect as it looks like it matches up nicely with my REI One that I bought in ’02 and still wear perpetually, only that thing only has three pockets.
As for my storage needs, in the way of gadgets I am always carrying my Motorola Droid, my Canon Powershot SD800is and a Sony voice recorder. That is just the tip of the iceberg for me though as I have a wife and an 18 month old with me as well. This usually means that I am also carrying the keys, my wife’s cell phone, often my wife’s wallet, a nook or two(not the e-reader), a plastic spoon and fork, a bib, a packet of raisins, a packet of gummy products, an extra diaper and wipes.
I also travel for work a few times a year and am loath to ever check a bag, this would clearly just about negate the possibility that I would ever have to check a bag again.
I would love to win this then I aspire to save and purchase a myriad of devices to fill the pockets. It looks well suited to an Auckland, New Zealand winter and would come in very handy when out and about in the wind and rain.
I would carry in this jacket my iPod, cell phone, Flip Mino, and digital SLR, which will take more than one pocket (body in one, lens in another), usb cables for all gadgets, flash drive(s), sundries (lip balm, mirror, Tylenol), ID, credit card, debit card, and a little bit of cash. I would wear the jacket everywhere and stop lugging around a heavy purse.
I would wear the jacket daily (weather permitting) to help carry my my gadget load. Including my HTC Fuse, iPod, Eee 701 (my Redfly when I get one), Swiss Tool, flashlight, wallet, camera and other things. This would make my pants pockets happy.
I’m a college student in Wisconsin and I could really use this jacket. I typically have to walk 3 or 4 blocks to school from wherever I find a free parking spot and in Wisconsin winter that is at very cold, sub zero temperatures.
I like to have my Ipod, cell phone, headphones, pen/pencil, keys, wallet, gum, chapstick, flash drive, power supply for my Mac, sunglasses, microtool (screwdriver, bottle opener, ect.), spare change, and my gloves. Most of which if you just put in a backpack with your books and laptop get smashed, smooshed, dented, dinged, or just broken. This would be a great improvement to simply hoping that nothing gets ruined.
Thanks for the chance,
Scott
Huh, seems like my post was put into the bit bucket. Guess I had too many links.
What I normally carry is my smart phone, gps, leatherman wave, keys (with qstarz bt-1300), flashlight, 2 wallets, shure earphones+a2dp receiver. Unfortunately, all that gear does get a little lumpy but is it ever handy!
So here’s what attracts me about the SeV: Obviously the additional pockets to carry my gadgets but it’s also got large pockets that conceal what’s being carried and allows wires to be channeled throughout the jacket.
The reason is that I’ve been assembling a wearable computer system for myself. The base computer is a Fujitsu u820 that for display would hook up to modified Myvu Crystal (see: http://www.bako.ca/wearable/myvu/ for what I did there). That’s all done and for data input, I’m currently at the stage where I’m trying to assemble a chordite one-handed keyboard.
So where the jacket would be amazing is that I won’t need to carry a specialized bag to house all the devices and figure out how to channel all those wires. Even better is that it wouldn’t be obvious: I’ve done some testing with the little Myvu monocular during lunch and it does pull attention – when I start using my full project and if I end up looking like a Borg drone, I suspect I may have problems in this paranoid world.
Of course, I’ll follow up publically when things are done. In much the same way as I did for my most recent project (google streetview + vuzix vr920 + stationary bike – http://www.bako.ca/streetview-riding)
