Project Runway Using HP Elitebook Tablet PCs for Designers

Project Runway_ Season 7 Episode 1 Videos | myLifetime.comMy wife is a fan of the show Project Runway. She noticed that on the first episode of the new season that HP was a sponsor and that the hopeful fashion designers were using Tablet PCs from HP to do their drawings and sketches. When I returned home earlier this evening, she showed me the episode and it looks like the designers are using HP Elitebook 2730p Tablet PCs. Good marketing on HP’s part.

    Might have been even better marketing to place a product somebody might actually want to buy today – like, say, the just-released HP TouchSmart tm2. That Elitebook is *so* 2008. [snaps fingers and walks off in a huff]

    I think the 2730p is the best tablet HP has to offer. It’s inking experience is far better than the tx2, which is probably the only other model available since they tape these shows well ahead of airing them. I agree that the tm2 would look more fashionable, but the 2730p seems right for the job.

    On another note, please don’t tell my wife about this as I believe she’s forgotten that this show exists. I used to have to endure spending ‘quality time’ with her watching Project Runway.

    Xavier, are you kidding? I LOVE watching that show with my wife. I get to check out the hot models and chickies running around on the show and I dont get odd looks about doing so. ;-)
