Whitehouse.gov right on your iPhone
Just when you thought your iPhone/iPod Touch was safe from our government..
The White House has announced on their official blog that they have created an official iPhone/iPod Touch application called “The White House” app. With this application, our fellow Americans can see all the latest news items, photos, blog posts and other informational tidbits from our White House. The feature that everyone seems to be excited about is the live video streaming, which will come in handy during President Obama’s State of the Union address next week.
Its a free application that can be downloaded from the Apple App Store. Its also a great way to “keep tabs” on our government and see what is really going on. I also think its a great way to get children interested in our government because if its an app on an iPhone, its gotta be cool.

rob: Most people don’t acknowledge the difference but this concerns governance not politics.
That said, why does the screenshot show “Mobistar” as the service provider instead of AT&T, the service provider in the States? (See, that’s politics.)

governance has to do with what on this blog? not everyone wants to know about american government/politics. especially here.

First, this post wasnt supposed to start a political war. This was a just a post about an iPhone application that just happened to be about the White House.
Second, as for the Mobistar screenshot, its the picture I had available. Mobistar is a telecomm provider in Denmark.
