If priced at $100 few would care about lack of color or 3g.

1. Color is needed if e-readers are to take off for text book use.

2. Easy connectivity is needed. With wifi at home, wifi at work, wifi at schools, wifi elswhere, tehering and the mifi to share 3g, embedded 3G may not be needed.

On another note, there have been complaints about the weight of some e-readers. If it replaces several 3 to 5 pound text books, an e-reader can be fairly heavy, if needed to accompdate a larger screen or battery.

There should be some kind of connectivity embedded, and it's time for color to become a standard, or maybe a premium at this point. I'm getting tired of seeing all these B&W e-readers. Bring on the color.
