The next-generation successors to Samsung’s flagship Android smartphone and tablet may make a debut at Mobile World Coongress according to a leaked document showing that a Galaxy S 2 and Tab 2 presentations are scheduled for the trade show in February.

According to Android Central, the Samsung Galaxy S 2 would essentially replace the popular Samsung Galaxy S series smartphone. The original Galaxy S debuted to a lot of fanfare as a smartphone with a Super AMOLED display, 1 GHz CPU with graphics capabilities, and Samsung’s Daily Briefing widgets on top of Android and the company’s proprietary TouchWiz user interface.

The company had announced a few smartphones at CES with Super AMOLED Plus displays, which are brighter displays than the original Super AMOLED screens, so it may be possible that the Galaxy S 2 may be released with a Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 would replace Samsung’s Galaxy Tab. The company has in the past hinted that the Galaxy Tab may see additional screen sizes beyond the 7-inch version that’s on the market today. Given that T-Mobile USA is getting set to retire the Galaxy Tab, a successor seems more than likely.
