Motion Computing Brings Intel Core i3 to C5v TabletPC

Motion Computing has just released an update to its enterprise-targeted C5 line of tablets in the form of the C5v, which brings a lower cost Intel Core i3 option to the slate. Previous models of the C5 line use the Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, and the addition of Core i3 support will provide a lower entry point for the tablet.

The Motion C5v is dubbed a Mobile Clinical Assistant and is primarily sold to healthcare users. With a 30 GB drive and i3 offering, the C5v will cost $1,899.

The device comes with handwriting and speech support, has an optional digital camera, front-facing webcam, RFID scanner and barcode scanner. The tablet is designed with a rugged build quality and a handle for ease of carrying in medical environments. There is a docking solution as well where users can use the tablet in desktop mode.

Users can also add optional integrated mobile broadband to the Windows 7 tablet as well for on-the-go, anywhere connectivity when away from WiFi access.
