If you’re targeting a Target store as your iPad 2 purchase point and considering Target’s trade in option on an earlier iPad, here’s some info for you. Target is partnering with NextWorth to handle the upgrades and here’s some PR info, including what trade in prices you can expect.

NextWorth, a leader in consumer electronics upgrades and trade-ins, is partnered with Target to offer an in-store trade-in option at nearly 900 Target stores nationwide (with 650 new stores being added by June). Consumers either receive credit toward a purchase (including the new iPad 2), or a prepaid Target card for the value of the trade-in that can be used for any item sold at Target. You can find a participating store nearest you at www.Target.NextWorth.com.

Current trade-in values on NextWorth for iPads with “Light Wear” (as of 3/9/11) are:

iPad 16G Wifi: $165.14
iPad 32GB Wifi: $195.30
iPad 64GB Wifi: $225.98
iPad 16G Wifi+3G: $200.62
iPad 32G Wifi+3G: $214.65
iPad 64GB Wifi+3G: $290.42

Wow, the trade-in values here make the Best Buy Buy Back program seem like a good deal for a product that’s a year old.

These are extremely low prices….. Check ebay.com/instantsale where they are paying $258-$551! Nextworth prices are low!!

Check the prices now… eBay instant sale dropped their prices dramatically… Also I got nervous on at eBay since a lot of people on the discussion boards were saying that they were not getting near the prices quoted on eBay:

Ipad 2 for $340 or less after a trade in?  That’s a good deal!
