Motorola Droid X2 Appears in First Official Images
Another upcoming member of the Droid family, the Motorola Droid X2, has shown up in its first official press shots today and it looks like the Droid X2 is going to be called the Droid X^2.
We’ve already seen the Droid X2 show up in pictures, appeared on video and we already have a very good idea about what the phone is all about. However, Verizon apparently isn’t ready to spill the goods yet because while it just announced the Motorola Droid Charge, Big Red’s lips remain sealed about the successor to the wildly popular Droid X.
These photos are as official as we’ve gotten thus far and while they don’t reveal anything spectacular, they give us a good look at the phone’s form factor (identical to the original) and also signal that a release should be very close.
The Motorola Droid X2 is almost certain to include a Tegra 2 dual-core processor and a 4.3 inch qHD high resolution display. It also could feature 7658MB of RAM and the same 8MP camera as the previous model but will lack that physical camera button found on the original Droid X.
One main feature that currently remains a mystery is whether it will arrive with Android 2.2 Froyo or Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The Motorola Droid X2 should be coming out at some point in May.
