Verizon Begins to Roll Out Motorola Xoom Software Update OTA

Chuong Nguyen —  04/28/2011

Though LTE support isn’t quite there yet for 4G mobile broadband connectivity on the Motorola Xoom Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet, Verizon Wireless is slated to start delivering over the air (OTA) software updates to the tablet which will bring a number of features and fixes.

The 28 MB system update, which could be accessed via Verizon, will now display POP emails in their entirety, bring Bluetooth support for Google Talk, allow SSL data transfers, support Proxy support for WiFi networks, fix storage errors, add the ability to use a Bluetooth mouse, and more.

Be sure to check your Xoom to see if the update is available.
