HTC ChaCha Launches in UK with Bump in Processor Speed

Not only has the HTC ChaCha Facebook phone launched on in the United Kingdom, HTC also saw it fit to boost the processor speed of the device up from 600MHz to 800MHz before launch. Certainly some exciting news if you live across the pond and were hoping to get your hands on the device.

As of right now, Three UK is the only carrier offering the ChaCha up with a contract which will net you the device free if you sign up for a two-year contract that costs £20 or more per month. Otherwise, you can get the ChaCha off-contract for around £250.

And while the release is fun and all, what’s important here is that the ChaCha got a processor boost which puts it on par with several well-known devices, the T-Mobile G2 to name one, in the speed department.

As a reminder, the ChaCha comes equipped with Android with HTC Sense over the top and 2.6-inch touchscreen with 480 x 320 resolution, 5MP rear camera, and a physical QWERTY keyboard.

So, for those of you who are Facebook fanatics and need a dedicated Facebook button on your phone, you can find the ChaCha at Three UK here and over at Amazon UK right here.
