Free Training for New Android Users from Verizon
For those of you who are new to Android or are planning on getting an Android device this summer, you’ll be happy to know that Verizon is offering a ton of in-house training workshops for those new to the operating system.
The workshops will be taking place at Verizon stores across the United States and will be one to two hours of training that will touch on things like preserving battery life, device security, featured apps, utilizing your phone, and managing your usage. Verizon is also offering a smartphone specific workshop that will cover a broader range of subjects such as the of your device and useful data apps. You can also get those burning questions you might have answered in person.
If you’re interested, all you have to do in order to sign up is visit this page, input your zip code and select a date and time at your nearest Verizon store and you’ll be locked in for a date with Verizon.
In my area, there are 20 workshops to choose from so you shouldn’t have any trouble fitting this into your schedule. Best of all, the workshops are free and should give those of you new to Android a pretty good head start.
And for those of you that can’t make time to attend one of these in person, you’re also able to sign up for online workshops that last for approximately one hour and which offer more specific Android training.
