Would You Buy This iPhone 5 Prototype?

Published

on

Gizmodo has posted a nifty little iPhone prototype done by Antoine Brieux and I have to say, it’s a pretty good looking design and one that I honestly would be on board with should something like it arrive in the form of the iPhone 5.

iPhone 5 Prototype

What you see here is a uni-body metal casing and in between that casing are two pieces of curved glass. You know how I feel about the glass casing on the iPhone 4 so this would be like a dream come true. We’ve also heard rumors about Apple possibly toying with curved glass for an iPhone so this little slice of heaven could actually come true at some point.

Give it a metal backing instead of a glass one, throw in some spec upgrades, iOS 5 and LTE and you’d have me picking this bad boy up without even thinking about a contract or a price tag.

What about you? Would you buy this if Apple released it?

Forget LTE this year, maybe next. But I guarantee not one moment before Steve Jobs wants you to have and iPhone on LTE. I currently have an iPhone 3G and have been ready to replace it for the past six months. But I have to admit I am looking at the possibility of replacing it with an Android phone such as the HTC Sensation or Samsung Galaxy S2 on an HSPA+ network, or maybe even the Bionic if they ever get it released. I really want the larger screen size, faster speeds, ability to customize, use Flash, replace my own battery if needed, etc. At one time the iPhone was the only game in town, but times have changed. That’s what is nice about competition and freedom of choice.

one tiny view does not give a person enough to go by to say if the design sucks.  I’d say “maybe”….  too soon to tell and this article was not “real” newsworthy.
