New Motorola Droid Bionic Outed in Best Buy Ad

Published

on

Well, well, well, what do we have here? Why it’s the newly redesigned Motorola Droid Bionic in a Best Buy advertisement showing off what appears to be its new and improved form factor.

Droid Bionic

There has been a lot of talk about the upcoming Droid Bionic, about what it may or may not have on board when it finally arrives – possibly on August 4th – and now we have our first look at a device that seems to have a couple of cosmetic changes including some squared-off edges and a shinier coat. Other than that, the ad reveals nothing new in regards to the phone itself.

It does confirm a few things that the Droid Bionic will have on board, things that we have already known about. It has 4G LTE speeds. It has a dual-core processor.  It has HDMI mirror mode.  It has dual-cameras. Yes, it is a beast and appears that Verizon and Motorola are going to be marketing it that way as its tag line in the ad reads:

With the ferocious force of Verizon 4G LTE, the Droid Bionic is an all-powerful, unstoppable machine.

All I can say is, yes please. And while it doesn’t have anything specific in regards to a release date, the ad does reveal that the device will be coming to Best Buy’s shelves at some point in the near future.

So, this my friends, might be the phone that you should be waiting for. How does it look from your end?

I hope only one more month.   I tried to download Plants versus Zombies and it told me to get lost!

I needed a dual core CPU to even install it!

So Apparently that game will not run on ANY Verizon phones with 4GLTE.

Does anyone know if the Bionic is going to have a physical keyboard?  I know, I know…but I’m old school like that.

Bionic = LTE = virtual keyboard
      Droid 3 = 3G = physical qwerty.

I got to best buy at 8:55 pm to buy the Thunderbolt so I could return it in 30 days for the Bionic and keep the data plan, but the Tireted plans had already gone into effect at 9…. Darn Eastern time… ;(

YESSSSSSSS! The wait is almost over! Those leaked release dates seem to be on point. Those screenshots said Droid 3 on 7/14 (it was announced today, 7/14 was correct) and Bionic on 8/4. I don’t know if I’ll be able to wait, I just might get this beast on the release date!
