Samsung Galaxy S II for Sprint Spotted in the Wild? (Photos)

Finally! That will likely be the word that those of you who have been waiting for a U.S. version of the Samsung Galaxy S II will shout out after viewing these photos. ThisIsMyNext has scored two images of a phone that is purportedly the Samsung Galaxy S II for Sprint aka Galaxy Within which makes this the first time that we’ve seen one of these devices in the wild.

Sprint Galaxy S II

Way back when, we heard that the Galaxy S II would be headed to the U.S. as the Within on Sprint, Attain on AT&T and Function Verizon and since then, only AT&T’s device has leaked out. It’s also led many including myself to question whether or not the phone would ever come to the United States. These photos aren’t confirmation of that, but they are a good sign that a release might be getting closer.

Galaxy Within?

As you can see, the phone clearly resembles the Galaxy S II and has both a Samsung and Sprint logo alongside the 8MP camera. The photos reveal little else but it seems as though those looking to get this phone can finally breathe a little easier. It’s also apparently running Android 2.3.4 out of the box, so expect Google Talk video chat on board when it arrives.

Earlier today I touched on some reasons why the U.S. needs this phone and it appears that someone may have been listening.

Who’s excited?

I would be more excited if it wasn’t a blurry… possibly Photoshopped picture from a random tech site. :)
