Verizon Details Next Big 4G LTE Roll Out

Published

on

On July 21st, Verizon rolled out its 4G LTE network to 28 new cities and expanded it in six other markets. Today, Big Red announced that its next big 4G LTE roll out will take place on August 18th and will bring 4G LTE to several new markets and expand it in a ton of others. The interesting thing about this roll out is that it will likely be the one that coincides with the release of Verizon’s first dual-core 4G LTE smartphone, the Motorola Droid Bionic which will likely be rolling out in August or September. So, if you live in one of the markets listed here, welcome to the party, you arrived with perfect timing. Let’s break down the roll out then, shall we?

Verizon 4G LTE

It’s an impressive list of cities and it breaks down like this:

Launching in:

  • Ft. Collins, Colorado
  • Johnstown And Altoona, Pennsylvania
  • Omaha And Council Bluffs, Nebraska
  • Bakersfield, California
  • Salinas And Monterey, California
  • Provo/Orem, Utah
  • Ithaca, New York
  • Capital Region
  • Syracuse, New York
  • Greater Worcester, Massachusetts

Expanding in:

  • Metrowest, Massachusetts
  • Columbus, Ohio
  • Cincinnati, Ohio
  • Nyack, West Nyack, Orangeburg, Pearl River And Spring Valley, New Jersey

Nice to see some California love on the list. I wouldn’t be shocked to see even more places show up on as we get closer to launch so keep your fingers crossed if you don’t see your area on this list.
