BlackBerry Torch 9850 Likely Headed to Sprint on August 21st

It looks like the freshly discounted Samsung Conquer 4G won’t be the only handset hitting Sprint on August 21st. Back on August 3rd, Sprint announced that it would be taking on two of RIM’s latest BlackBerry devices, the BlackBerry Bold 9930 and the Torch 9850.

Unfortunately, we had no clue as to when either would arrive.

And while we’re still in the dark about the Bold 9930, we now have some evidence, courtesy of CrackBerry, that points to a release date of August 21st for the Torch 9850.

That’s not all either.

The Sprint PlayBook also reveals that the device will cost $149 on a new two year contract when it arrives. It appears that that will be the discounted price down from it’s full price of $449. The price seems about right for BlackBerry’s first all-touch smartphone on Sprint.

Keep in mind that neither RIM nor the carrier has officially announced this yet but it appears pretty likely that the Torch 9850 will hit Sprint on August 21st for $149. Anyone going to be buying it?
