HTC Vigor and LG Revolution 2 Both Get Possible Specs

Published

on

The HTC Vigor is becoming one of the most talked about devices around, well, after the Samsung Galaxy S II and the Motorola Droid Bionic of course. Many of those disenchanted with the Galaxy S II and Bionic are anxious to see and hear about HTC’s upcoming device which has been rumored to be coming out at some point in October.

We’ve also heard about a follow-up to LG’s Revolution 4G LTE smartphone called the LG Revolution 2 which popped up a few days ago in some leaked Verizon documents. Today, courtesy of Droid-Life, we have some rumored specifications for both phones that I believe will make a lot of you out there happy.

HTC

Let’s start with the HTC Vigor, shall we? First and foremost, it’s said to sport a 4.3″ 720p HD screen  with 1280×720 resolution. We’ve heard that before. It’s also rumored to be coming with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8MP rear cam, 2MP front, Android 2.3.4, as well as a new version of HTC Sense dubbed Sense 3.3.

Apparently, the HTC Vigor will be similar to the HTC ThunderBolt but without the kickstand. Sound good to you? Sounds pretty darn good to us. Sadly, no mention of 4G LTE but I’d be shocked if it didn’t have it. It’ll also apparently have some connection to Beats by Dre as the boot up sequence contains the logo. It’s unclear at this point what significance that has though.

And now, for the LG Revolution 2 which will apparently come with a 4.5-inch HD screen (!), an extremely thin design (possibly thinner than the Vigor and iPhone 4), and will be a 4G LTE smartphone. That’s it for now for that as it’s probably in early development.

These are of course, rumors, so take them as such but boy oh boy, are these two phones shaping up to be awesome releases.

Anyone else hoping that the Vigor comes out in October?

I have had the patience to wait for the Droid Bionic since January, but I just wouldn’t be able to justify wasting my upgrade on the Bionic with the Vigor coming just about a month later.  I will be holding out to see what happens and most likely purchase the top phone out in December.

Are you going to be able to tell the difference between a dual core 1.0 or 1.5 processor? Sounds like you need to pick a UI that you like (unless you are planning on rooting asap). Sense or Blur???

I have the original Droid & have been waiting to upgrade to the bionic but since it’s pretty much confirmed to have a pentile display, I’m waiting the extra month or so for the vigor.

Damn…I was pretty much set on decided between the Bionic and S2 once they hit shelves. This Vigor sounds like a whole different animal though!

as of now it looks like bionic for me. with the omap cpu certified for HD netflix, and the rumored extra long battery life. Couple months past my upgrade but my OG droid is starting to take a minute to load icons and constantly freezes I just cant wait anymore

I was patient about three months ago waiting for these things. Now I’ll pretty much buy the first dual-core LTE phone that comes out. My original droid just isn’t cutting it anymore. I hope the rumors that the SGSII was passed up by Verizon are false, but if not I may end up with the Droid Bionic afterall (and I’ll just have to get over how ugly the front is).

Frankly I tire of waiting for either the Bionic or the Galaxy S2. I’m more than ready to see what the Bigor has in comparison.

Looks like the major OEM are prepping up to fire ICS as soon as Google gives the go ahead w/ the launch of the Nexus prime. I see Androids Army linning up in attack mode..they better be bcz Jobz Army is also planning a blitz. Love the competition makes it better for us all.

HTC VIGOR, i want it to be in a thin body from naked) aluminum! Thin, silver-colored, maybe even polished aluminum looking like chrome, mirroring our wow-faces!:)
Mmm…HTC, we want unexpected design+material experiments, don’t hesitate to impress us;)
