Asus Eee Pad Slider Launching By End of September, Starts at $475

The Asus Eee Pad Slider was first announced all the way back at CES 2011 in January and finally, after months of waiting, the 10.1-inch tablet hybrid with built-in physical keyboard has finally received an official launch window from Asus with the manufacturer saying that the Honeycomb powered tablet will be out before the end of September. No specific date was given.

Asus also announced the pricing as well. It will start at $475 for the 16GB model and it will cost an extra $100 in you need more storage and want the 32GB model.

In case you forgot, the Eee Pad Slider is going to be coming with an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, Android Honeycomb 3.2, a 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front facing camera, 1GB of RAM, microHDMI-out slot, and a 10.1-inch IPS display which means it will have 1280 x 800 resolution.

The device popped up on Amazon for pre-order a few days ago, a pre-order that was promptly pulled down, but we expect the real pre-orders for this bad boy to start in the not-so-distant future.

So, if you’ve been waiting for this bad boy and haven’t been lured in by Windows 8’s Syren’s Song, then you should only have to wait a few days before you can punch in your order.
