Fusion Garage’s Knocks $200 Off Grid10 Tablet and Ship Date Slips

I don’t want to say here we go again, so I won’t. That said, Fusion Garage looks like it might be experiencing a little bit of déjà vu when it comes to actually shipping the Grid 10 Tablet, the successor to the ill-fated JooJoo Tablet.

First, the ship date has slipped from September 15 to October 1. Next, it looks like the price has dropped by $200. When announced (in a bizarre bit of promotional hackery to try and keep folks off of the JooJoo comparisons, the Grid 10 was priced at $499 for the WiFi model and a promised 3G model for $599. Knock off $200 on each price tag, and the Grid 10 could be yours.

If it were my money, I’d wait and see even though the price might be attractive. Why? Well, there’s the track record we’re looking at here. In addition a Fusion Garage rep apparently told Engadget that this was the intended price all along but they couldn’t announce it due to negotiation issues with an ODM. Maybe it’s just me, but. oh, never mind.
